Keywords, keywords, keywords!
Keywords are the backbone of your site's success. Sure, you need to build a decent looking template, and get traffic to it, but what you need to ask yourself what kind of traffic will be "buyer traffic"? In truth, whether you are relying on organic (free) traffic, or paying for your vistors through AdWords or some other PPC campaign, you need to target the "right" keywords.
So, what are the "right" keywords?
Here are a few thoughts:
- Use product or product category names with qualifier words like:
- free
- compare
- review
- cheap
- discount
- buy - Use prahses like:
- "how do I"
- "learn how to" - Focus on buyer behavior words like:
- find
- list
- Think of "life events" that people would search for answers on or help with, how does your site fill that need?
- Focus on "you", not "I"
